A good windy day, Fishing on the Vaaldam. What worked well for us was our JUMBO Baits: Dips: Crazy Pine and Loti Crazy Pine and Sticky Fitz Crazy Pine and Potency. Hooks baits Vampire floaties DV Fruit floaties Lines clipped in at roughly 50 meters. @jumbofishing1845 #Bosckopvaaldam #jumbofishing

So after a long break from fishing at the Vaal dam, we decided to head back for a days fishing. Daniel out fished us all. Combos that worked: #jumbofishing @jumbofishing1845 Dips and hook Combo 1: FX and Sticky Fritz with white bloekom floaties. Combo 2: Crazy Pine and Besie Bass with honey floaties. Yellow Dough recipe: 1 x Tin of Koo mielie sauce 1 x Tea spoon of Condensmilk 1 x Tablespoon of Devils Fork dip A small pinch of green floro. Mix it all together and separate the mixture and freeze it. Use this mixture to make you dough.

After our complete blank session at Roodekoppies dam, I had to break the blank streak.. SO off to Rietlvei I went, in the hopes of catching my PB... We decided to spend the weekend at Roodekoppies dam, Dennekruin and try catch some bigger carp. Well.... It didn't work, the fish were just not biting. I saw a post on a Facebook page, asking for info on Boschkop at the Vaal dam. I replied to Chris, who was looing for the info. He then invited me to join him and his Church for a days fishing. What a really nice day.... The wind was howling all day long.

We decided to go fishing at Tapkar Dam in Delams again. A very difficult days fishing. We only managed 3 fish for the day. One barbel on Worms dipped in Sniper Two Carp on garlic and perdeby floats from Jumbo, Bouyln feed with some LL Series Level5 feed mix and a yellow garlic dough. No dips Second rod, maggots and Lipstick. Casted this one out far but caught no fish.

We head out to Delmas and fish a venue we have never fished before. What a stunning dam that is open to the public. There are marked out pegs and a lot of space. We used Jumbo Lipstick dip and Jumbo lipstick and Vampire floaties. Supercast TjopTjop, Sniper and Perdeby - My go to combo. Bouyln feed. Know where you are casting, this is a little insight of how I use Dam contours and plan my fishing depth and casting distance. This example is on the Vaal dam.

We relocated some bass to their new home. We catch more bass then we expected and have a blast doing it, plus end up like kids in a candy store with all the fish we catch. We head to Blaauwpan dam Private side for a few hours of fishing. Then I decided to hit Bronkhorstspruit dam, for a solo bass fishing session the following day. Secret Baits, G30 watermelon colour worms, worked incredibly well for the bass. Get some Xeroderm Sunblock SPF40, it made for fishermen, has no oils and scent to it. Its really good, so give it a try.

Headed off to Van Driel's fishing on the Vaal dam for the first time, Great venue. Water level is coming up nicely. We arrived for a fun days fishing and had massive Vaal dam carp spawning all around us! The fishing was difficult but seeing those fish spawn was amazing!!. The dam level was rising during our session, check the pegs before and after, to see the water level.

So my family decided to come fishing with me, it was my son's first time out and catching fish at Boschkop, Vaal dam. What a fun filled day. The wind was rough, so the audio is affected... Nature, what can I say.

We decided to go have a days Fishing at the R50 Dam, Rus in Orbi, Roos se Oordt in Alberton, what a fun day and what a strong wind. Only managed 3 fish but its always worth it. We will take you to our Bass fishing session we had, while we wait for the fish to bite.

We kept losing our shoes. The dam is low, the mud is SUPER thick but fishing is always good. A quick trip to catch some small fish at NGWENYA Lodge!! My family and I went to Ngwenya for a few days away. I can never resist doing some fishing once we there. Small hooks, bread and a little police men is all you need. Then, how I make my Sliding Rietvlei trace! Look how close the Zebras and Bushbaby came to us.... Nature is AWESOME!!

Guess where I am fishing, its on the Vaal dam and one of my favorite spots! I just love fishing there, the water is low and the mud is everywhere but its still amazing.... What a stunning venue. Mannapools was our campsite. We targeted bigger fish but luck was just not on our side, we were kept very busy with all the fish but just not the bigger ones.... You catch what bites. Vosrite is a venue to go fish, neat, clean and very well maintained. We will be back and catch those bigger fish.

First time fishing a new Venue on the Vaal Dam, Klein Plaas. This venue has been open since December 2019, so its new and the fishing was great. It sits between AHV and Draaifontain. I fished with Dips and Ludwigh with out. Ernits is the manager and is a super friendly person. Contact him on 076 648 5533.

The final test of Dips vs No dips.. So what works where?. We have fished clean (No dips) for the last 3 trips. My advice, start clean and slowly add dips, see what the fish want! I will undoubtedly fish a lot more, with no dips.

So, we decided to hit the R50 dam in Alberton again. This time I fished with NO dips, at the same Spot as last time. We caught fish and had fun....

We decided to do a Dip vs NO DIP challenge! I fished with no dips, only a Yellow garlic dough, Garlic, Honey and Perdeby floties! The results were interesting!
