The Breede River holds barbel, bass, and carp. Guests may fish from the bank and bring a canoe, kayak, or small fishing boat up to 10 horsepower. Jet skis and skiing are not allowed. Confirm fishing rules with the venue before you visit.
Goudmyn farm lies about 13 km from Robertson on the R317 toward Bonnievale. Three self-catering chalets sleep four with en-suite bedrooms, kitchens, indoor and outdoor braais, and a patio jacuzzi overlooking the river. A separate wood cabin and grassy shaded campsites each have a private ablution, power point, and braai. The farm hosts the Robertson Wine on the River festival nearby each October. Walk the vineyards, swim in the river, hire a canoe, or pick apricots and peaches in harvest season. Children are welcome. Pets are not allowed. Published rates are about R1 980 per night for chalets, R2 090 for the wood cabin, and R770 for campsites. A minimum stay of two nights applies, with three nights on long weekends.
