Dirk's Place is a farm campsite on the Wilge River near Emalahleni in Mpumalanga. Shaded electrified stands, two self-catering chalets, and river bank fishing for barbel, bass, carp, and yellowfish.
The camp sits on the Wilge River at the foothills of the Gous mountain range. Barbel, bass, carp, and yellowfish are caught from the open river bank. Bring your own fishing gear. Confirm the fishing rules with the venue.
Dirk's Place offers electrified camping stands under large trees and two fully equipped self-catering chalets. The farm has a splash pool, jungle gym, animal farm, and a modern family-style ablution block. Long-stay campers are welcome. The Lunch Box on site sells quick meals and basic supplies. The camp is pet-friendly and suits families and groups. It lies on the R544 between Groblersdal and Bronkhorstspruit, about 45 km north of Emalahleni. Horse rides, 4x4 trails, hiking, and bird watching are available on the farm. Camping is about R165 per person per night. Monthly camping rates may apply for long stays.
