The Wilge River runs through the property. Bass, carp, barbel, kurper and yellowfish live in these waters. Bring your own tackle. Fishing is included when you stay overnight. Day visitors pay a separate fishing fee. Confirm the rules with the venue.
Berg En Rivier sits between Cullinan and Loskop Dam, about an hour from Pretoria East. The retreat fronts the Wilge River with riverside camping for tents, trailers and off-road campers. Shaded stands sit on grass and bare ground along the bank. Boplaas is a 4x4-only off-grid camp above a small dam. Self-catering units, a tented camp and a lodge hall are also on site. You can camp overnight or visit for the day. Day visitors may use the river, hiking trails and other facilities. The venue is pet friendly. Children above five are welcome. Tubing, canoeing, hiking and 4x4 trails are available. Cellphone reception is limited in parts of the valley. Riverside and Boplaas camping is about R300 per unit per night plus R50 per adult per day and R20 per child per day. Lodge camping with electricity is about R350 per unit per night plus the same day fees. Day visitors pay about R120 per person. Day fishing is about R150 per person.
