Bundu Bashing is a 43 ha farm near Boschkop in Pretoria east. Nine private dams offer catch-and-release fishing for bass, carp, kurper and barbel. Camping and day visits run on set weekend hours.
The fishing
Nine dams sit on the farm near the Boschkop river. Bass, carp, kurper and barbel are available. Fishing is strictly catch and release. Treble hooks and keep nets are not allowed. You need a landing net and a skepnet for carp. Max two rods per angler in the water.

Staying at Bundu Bashing
The farm has private camping stands with ablutions. Some stands have limited electricity for a fridge, LED lights and phone chargers. Large caravans are not suited to the access roads. Off-road trailers and tents work well. Day visitors can fish or picnic under the trees. Game such as impala often graze near the camps. Entrance is by appointment. Weekday visits need a booking. Camping from R380 per night covers the first two adults, with a R500 minimum stay. Day fishing for an adult is R150. Non-fishing adults pay R120. Confirm the price with the venue before you book.
