The fishing
Unicor Dam is a deep old quarry dam with open bank fishing for carp and barbel. One side has parking and picnic spots at the water. The other side has chalets for overnight guests. Papgooi and specimen carp fishing both work here. Fishing competitions run from time to time. Confirm the rules with the venue before you fish.

Staying at Unicor Park
Unicor Park suits day visits, camping, and overnight stays. Campers and caravanners can set up under trees on the bank. Self-catering wendy houses and chalets sleep about six guests and have a fridge, kettle, and plate stove. A swimming pool, play park, ablutions, and a small tuck shop are on site. The resort is fenced and family friendly. Day fishing and picnic spots are available on the dam bank. Overnight guests can fish from the resort side. Kids are welcome. Bring your own food, braai wood, and fishing gear. Wooden house stays were about R280 per person per night in a recent guest report. Day fishing ticket prices are not published.
