The resort fronts a wide stretch of the Vaal Barrage near Sasolburg. Carp, barbel, yellowfish, mudfish, and kurper are caught here. Day visitors get about 160 m of bank, and campers get about 300 m. Papgooi and specimen carp fishing both work. Boat traffic passes on the river. Day visitor fishing is R80 per person for guests age 12 and up, and R60 for children age 4 to 11. The resort has shaded campsites with electrical points on the river bank. Renovated ablution blocks and a dedicated campsite swimming pool are on site. Braai stands sit on the open lawn under oak and willow trees. Sixteen refurbished self-catering chalets and furnished park homes line the waterfront. Units sleep two to four guests. Chalets have kitchens, braai areas, and access to three resort swimming pools. Day visitors can fish, braai, and use the pools without staying over.
