The fishing
The farm has several private dams. The main dam is about 7 ha and sits next to the dam house and camping lapa. A second dam near the plaashuis holds bass, barbel and kurper. Dams are stocked annually. Catch and release applies unless agreed otherwise. Carp to 14 kg have been recorded. Bass, barbel and kurper are common. Anglers fish from the grassy banks beside the dam house and camping area.

Hartebeesfontein Gasteplaas sits between Naboomspruit and Nylstroom in the Waterberg. The dam house sleeps six beside the main dam with two bedrooms, a shared bathroom, outdoor shower, covered stoep and self-catering kitchen. The plaashuis sleeps ten about 2 km away at the bass dam. The private camping lapa shares the main dam shoreline with power points, ablutions and a boma braai. Bring your own drinking water.
