Bulshoekfarm sits on Bulshoek Dam north of Clanwilliam on the N7. Four self-catering houses and six camp sites share one working farm on the water. Bass and carp are common from the open bank.
Bulshoek Dam holds largemouth and smallmouth bass plus carp. Kurper also show up in the shallows. Anglers fish from the open bank in front of the houses and camp sites. Bring your own tackle and bait. Boats may use the dam when licences and safety certificates are in order. Confirm fishing rules with the venue before you visit.
Bulshoekfarm is about 23 km north of Clanwilliam on the N7. The farm is a third-generation piggery with four self-catering houses and six camp sites on green lawns at the water. Lotz-Inn and Damhouse sleep large groups. Thys se Huis and Annie's Cottage suit smaller families. Every unit has a braai. Camp sites 1 to 3 sit on the dam bank with private ablutions. Sites 4 to 6 share a communal ablution block. Electricity is on site. Bring a long extension lead and a caravan adaptor for sites 1 and 2. You can ski, tube, wakeboard, kayak or swim when the dam level allows. Wood and ice are sold on the farm. WiFi is available though cell signal is limited. Kids are welcome. The farm is not pet friendly and jet skis are not allowed. Bulshoek Dam is an irrigation dam so water levels change with the season. Camping is about R180 per adult per night and R120 per child under ten. Lotz-Inn and Damhouse are about R1250 per night. Thys se Huis and Annie's Cottage are about R850 per night.
